Dr Bo Bai

Group Executive Chairman & Co-Founder

Dr. Bo Bai is the Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Alpha Ladder Group, a Singapore-based green fintech group focused on creating a more inclusive and sustainable future. Alpha Ladder’s subsidiaries provide regulated financial services including a digital green exchange, payment, brokerage services, and end-to-end carbon Software-as-a-Service solutions. Through its offerings and business units, Alpha Ladder supports its clients throughout each step of their decarbonisation journeys in line with the principles of define, measure, mitigate, offset, certify, and finance.

Dr. Bai is also the Chairman and Founder of Asia Green Fund, an award-winning impact private equity firm with around to US$2.5 billion assets under management, focused on accelerating climate tech and sustainability pioneers at the forefront of Asia’s decarbonisation agenda.

Previously, Dr. Bai was a partner and managing director for Warburg Pincus from 2009-2016 where he led its investments in the energy, industrials, and business services sectors in Asia. He has also held senior leadership positions at global financial institutions such as First Reserve Corporation and Goldman Sachs.

Dr. Bai serves as an Investment Committee Member of Three Gorges Green Fund. Dr. Bai also serves as a Board Member of Elessent Cleantech (formerly Dupont Cleantech), Shanghai East Low Carbon Technology, Nanjing Baoying Gases, Beijing Capital Heating, Four Rivers Investment Management, Hosjoy, Low Carbon Environment, and AIPark. Previously, he served as a Board Member of HuiTongDa (9878.HK), Baosteel Gas, AAG Energy, Gulf Coast Energy Resources, and First Green Partners. Dr. Bai is also a founding member of the China Impact Investment Network (CIIN), and a member of ASPEN global leadership network.

Dr. Bai holds a BSc and an MSc in Modern Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, a degree certificate in the Financial Technology Option from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and a Ph. D. in Physics from MIT.

Sandy Frucher

Group Vice Chairman

Meyer “Sandy” Frucher is the Vice Chairman of Alpha Ladder Group, where he is responsible for driving the company toward establishing an interconnected global carbon infrastructure network with national registries, trading, clearing platforms, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Prior to joining Alpha Ladder Group, Sandy helmed NASDAQ as Vice Chairman, leading the American multinational financial infrastructure technology provider and stock exchange provider for over 15 years. Sandy also served as Chairman and CEO of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and was a former board member of the World Federation of Exchanges. Sandy holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Pei Ling serves as the Co-President of MetaComp, where she brings a wealth of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, and corporate leadership. Her career is marked by significant achievements across various sectors, including the financial technology and public sectors, making her a key leader in driving MetaComp’s vision and growth in the digital asset space.

Pei Ling’s career is diverse, having held several senior corporate roles. Before joining MetaComp, Pei Ling was the Managing Director for Strategic Partnership & Business Development at DCS, a MAS-licensed financial institution specializing in card and token payment solutions. In this role, she was instrumental in forging strategic alliances and expanding the company’s market reach. Pei Ling was also the Chief Executive Officer of Business China, a Singapore non-profit organisation that harnesses the support of public sector and private enterprises to cultivate Singapore-China-savvy talents, strengthen Singapore-China networks, and grow the global connectivity of Singapore. At Grab, she was the Director for Corporate Development, supporting strategic acquisitions and contributing to the rapid expansion of one of Southeast Asia’s leading tech companies. Additionally, Pei Ling was the Group Director of Corporate Strategy at Jing King (JK) Technology Group, now known as Adera Global, where she led the company’s strategic initiatives. Early in her career, Pei Ling honed her expertise as a business consultant at Ernst & Young.

Pei Ling holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, one of the world’s top business schools. She also earned a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) through the University Scholars Programme at the National University of Singapore. Further highlighting her commitment to leadership and public service, Pei Ling is a Lien Fellow under the Lien Ying Chow Legacy Fellowship program from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.

At MetaComp, Pei Ling leverages her extensive experience and strategic insight to co-lead the company in navigating the evolving landscape of digital finance, ensuring that MetaComp continues to innovate and maintain its competitive edge.

Wu Jiashu

Group Chief Financial Officer

Jiashu is the Chief Financial Officer of Alpha Ladder Group, where she brings extensive financial expertise and sharp strategic insight to the role. Prior to joining the Group, she served as Investment Director at Asia Green Fund from 2016 to the present, focusing on green impact investments. In this role, she was responsible for managing a portfolio focused on green impact investments. Her work involved identifying and executing investments in a range of sustainable sectors, including new energy, advanced materials, and the circular economy. Her responsibilities extended beyond investment analysis and execution; she was heavily involved in the management of portfolio companies, providing hands-on guidance to ensure operational and financial success. This included regular review of financial statements, operational performance metrics, and the direct engagement with executive teams through board meetings and shareholder engagements. Additionally, she was instrumental in driving the financial analysis, strategic planning, and merger and acquisition (M&A) activities within the portfolio companies, contributing to value creation and successful exits.

Before her tenure at Asia Green Fund, Jiashu was a valued member of the Financial Transaction Advisory Division at Ernst & Young. Her involvement in numerous domestic and international M&A deals across various industries, including finance, healthcare, and technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT), has honed her skills in complex financial transactions and deal structuring.

Jiashu also worked at Ernst & Young in the audit division, where she was involved in the annual financial audits and IPO audits for financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, and futures firms. This experience helped her develop a strong foundation in rigorous financial knowledge and a solid understanding of risk management.

Jiashu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the prestigious School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University, one of China’s top universities. She furthered her academic credentials by earning a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from HEC Paris, one of the world’s top ten business schools. Her educational background, combined with her extensive professional experience, makes her a well-rounded and insightful leader in both financial strategy and sustainable investment.

Summer Yu

Group Chief Compliance Officer

Summer Yu is the Group Chief Compliance Officer of Alpha Ladder Group, a Singapore-headquartered digital finance group committed to building sustainable and inclusive financial infrastructure across payments, FX, and digital assets. She brings over two decades of experience in global compliance, licensing, and financial crime risk management, with a proven track record of enabling safe, scalable, and regulatorily sound growth.

Before joining Alpha Ladder, Summer was Group Head of Compliance at Aspire, where she set up the global compliance and financial crime compliance (FCC) function from scratch. She designed and implemented a multi-jurisdictional framework covering payments, cards, credit, and investment products, and served as Executive Director of Aspire’s Singapore CMS entity and Hong Kong MSO entity. At Aspire, she played a critical role in uplifting the entire Regulatory and FCC framework, enhancing governance, systems, and operational capacity to support Aspire’s rapid growth and international expansion.

Prior to Aspire, Summer was Global Head of Compliance for ByteDance’s payments business, where she advised on group-wide regulatory and AML frameworks across 200+ operational countries and ensured global standards were applied in diverse jurisdictions. She also built the global compliance team from single digits to more than 200 professionals, providing the foundation for ByteDance’s international payments and digital finance ambitions.

At PayPal China, Summer was the PBOC-approved Vice General Manager and Chief Compliance Officer, leading the landmark effort that secured the first payment license ever granted by the People’s Bank of China to a foreign-owned entity.

Earlier in her career, Summer spent more than a decade at HSBC in senior risk and compliance leadership roles, where she oversaw wealth management, investment advisory, and capital markets compliance. She helped HSBC launch its first Qualified Domestic Institutional Investor (QDII) product in China and supervised the compliance of structured notes, dual-currency investments (DPS), capital-protected instruments (CPI), and other complex investment vehicles.

Summer holds a Master’s degree from Macquarie University. She has extensive expertise in regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, safeguarding, and operational resilience frameworks, with direct experience applying requirements under MAS PSA/CMS, HK SFC, AU AUSTRAC, Canada FINTRAC, UK FCA, EU DNB and BI, US FinCEN and SEC, Indonesia BI, Philippines BSP, and China PBOC. Her professional focus also covers consumer duty, market integrity, crypto custody, tokenisation of real-world assets (RWA), cross-border payments, and digital investment products.

At Alpha Ladder Group, she leverages this global compliance expertise and strategic insight to lead the Group’s compliance function, ensuring the company continues to innovate responsibly while maintaining its leadership in digital finance.

Wil Chew

Group Chief Information Security Officer

Wil Chew is an accomplished technology leader with deep expertise in information security, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise IT strategy. As the Chief Information Security Officer of Alpha Ladder Group, he brings over two decades of experience driving secure digital transformation across leading financial institutions and technology firms.

Prior to his current role, Wil served as Head of IT Infrastructure at Nogle Group, where he led critical initiatives to modernise and secure the group’s technology backbone. He was formerly the Head of Cloud Business at OCBC Bank, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the bank’s cloud strategy and adoption. His earlier roles include managing cloud solutions for enterprise clients at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and delivering technology consulting projects for top-tier organisations such as DBS and Accenture.

Wil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Nanyang Technological University, and continues to be a trusted advisor in cybersecurity, cloud architecture, and digital innovation across the financial services sector.

Michael Sheren

CEO

Michael Sheren is a globally recognised leader in green finance, governance, policy, and technology, with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. As a former Senior Advisor to the Bank of England, he played a key role in shaping financial policies, particularly in climate risk, fintech, and sustainable finance. He co-chaired the G20 Sustainable Finance Study Group alongside China, represented the UK in the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS), and contributed to the digital green bond initiative within the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) Innovation Hub. Michael also co-founded the Bank of England’s Fintech Accelerator, advancing innovation in financial technology.

Beyond policymaking, Michael is a strategic advisor and board member for high-impact GreenTech and GreenFinTech firms, mentoring C-suite executives and industry leaders driving climate-focused financial innovation. He is a Fellow at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and a Senior Advisor to the UNDP Sustainable Finance Hub, working on initiatives that align global finance with sustainability and ESG principles.

With over 25 years in investment banking, Michael has held senior roles at leading global financial institutions in New York and London, specialising in debt capital markets, structured finance, and private equity transactions. He holds Master’s degrees from Harvard University, the London School of Economics (LSE), and New York University (NYU), along with a BA from George Washington University. His expertise continues to influence the transition towards a more sustainable and technology-driven financial system.

Eddie Hui

Co-President & Chief Operating Officer

Eddie Hui is the Chief Operating Officer and Co-President of MetaComp, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s business strategy, with a strong focus on digital assets. His extensive expertise in financial services, spanning over two decades, equips him with the deep insights and leadership skills necessary to drive innovation and growth in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Before joining MetaComp, Eddie built an impressive career at Société Générale, one of the world’s leading financial institutions. Throughout his tenure, he held several key leadership positions in Asia, including Chief Operating Officer for Proprietary Trading, Fixed Income, Credit and FX, Prime Services, and the Equity Market Making desk. These roles provided him with a broad and deep understanding of the financial markets, as well as the operational complexities involved in managing diverse and dynamic trading environments.

Eddie’s academic background is equally distinguished. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering from the prestigious École nationale supérieure d’électrotechnique, d’électronique, d’informatique, d’hydraulique et des télécommunications (ENSEEIHT). This solid technical foundation, combined with his extensive industry experience, enables him to effectively bridge the gap between traditional finance and the emerging world of digital assets.

Fluent in English, French and Japanese, Eddie brings a global perspective to his role at MetaComp. His multilingual abilities enable him to effectively engage with diverse teams and stakeholders worldwide, further bolstering MetaComp’s leadership in the digital transformation of the financial sector. Eddie is dedicated to leveraging his expertise to guide the company through the challenges and opportunities of this transformation, ensuring that MetaComp stays at the forefront of industry innovation.

Peter Luo

Chief Technology Officer

Peter Luo is a seasoned technology executive with a distinguished track record of building and leading mission-critical financial technology platforms across Asia. As Chief Technology Officer of Alpha Ladder Group, he oversees the Group’s technology strategy and infrastructure, driving innovation in digital assets, trading systems, and blockchain-enabled solutions.

Peter was previously the General Manager of BayConnect, a wholly owned subsidiary of HKEX, where he led major cross-border market infrastructure initiatives. He was the Founding CTO of HashKey, one of Asia’s pioneering digital asset financial services groups, and formerly served as Head of Technology at the Dalian Commodity Exchange, where he helped scale one of China’s largest futures markets.

Peter holds a Master’s degree from Dalian University of Technology and is widely recognised for his expertise in financial market infrastructure, exchange systems, and the integration of emerging technologies into regulated environments.

KK Pan

Co-Chairman & CEO

KK Pan is a global technology leader specialising in AI, cloud SaaS, and sustainability solutions, with a proven track record of scaling businesses, driving digital transformation, and pioneering smart city innovations.

As Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chairman of Alpha Ladder InnovX (ALIX), he leads the company’s global expansion in AI-driven mobility solutions, leveraging proprietary AI and digital twin technology to optimise urban infrastructure, traffic systems, and energy-efficient transportation. In addition to his role at ALIX, KK serves as Co-Chairman of MVGX, where he drives the adoption of seamless and effective carbon management tools to help corporations navigate sustainability regulations and achieve net-zero goals. His leadership is instrumental in scaling MVGX’s Carbon Connect Suite, ensuring businesses can measure and manage carbon footprints with transparency and compliance.

With over 35 years of leadership experience, KK has successfully led enterprise businesses across Asia-Pacific, Greater China, Japan, and Southeast Asia. During his 17-year tenure at Oracle, he was Vice President and General Manager of Oracle NetSuite JAPAC, where he played a key role in expanding Oracle NetSuite’s market presence, strengthening customer engagement, and accelerating cloud adoption. Previously, he held senior roles at J.D. Edwards and PeopleSoft, leading market expansion strategies and large-scale digital transformation initiatives across key global markets.

KK’s global leadership and cross-cultural expertise have made him a recognised force in AI, enterprise SaaS, and sustainability technology. Having worked extensively across Singapore, Japan, Greater China, and Australia, he has a deep understanding of regional market dynamics, regulatory landscapes, and business growth strategies.

A thought leader in digital transformation, KK is an Independent Director at Azeus Systems, a board member of Sport Singapore, and an advisor to emerging technology firms. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science with Distinction from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and is an alumnus of the London Business School Global Business Consortium, where he collaborated with senior executives from top global corporations to develop strategic business solutions.

Gabriel Wong

Co-Founder

Gabriel Wong is the Co-Founder of Alpha Ladder Group and Executive Director of MVGX Tech (MVGX) a Singapore-headquartered pioneer in sustainability compliance solutions, with a growing presence across seven key markets in Asia-Pacific. He leads partnership efforts to expand MVGX’s client base, enabling institutions to define, measure, mitigate, offset, certify, and finance their sustainability goals.

Under Gabriel’s leadership, MVGX empowers businesses with a comprehensive suite of solutions, including digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV), regulatory compliance reporting, carbon credit advisory and trading, capacity building, and access to green finance. Leveraging proprietary AI inference models and the region’s most extensive emissions factor database, MVGX streamlines sustainability compliance, making it simpler, scalable, and seamless. Its plug-and-play solutions eliminate the need for complex installations, helping businesses reduce compliance costs while unlocking capital—whether through securing green finance or monetising carbon credits.

Prior to co-founding Alpha Ladder Group, Gabriel spent over a decade in investment banking and corporate law, specialising in cross-border corporate finance and capital markets transactions. He began his investment banking career at Citigroup Global Markets in New York before joining UBS Securities, where he held key roles in Beijing and Hong Kong, focusing on structured finance and equity capital markets.

Before transitioning to investment banking, Gabriel was a corporate lawyer in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore, advising on complex M&A and financing deals across Asia. 

Gabriel is a qualified attorney licensed in New York, Singapore, and England & Wales. He holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and has been recognised for his expertise in investment banking, equity valuation, and capital markets. 

As MVGX continues to broaden its presence in sustainability compliance, Gabriel remains committed to helping businesses navigate regulatory requirements, reduce compliance costs, and unlock financial opportunities through green finance and carbon markets.

Lily Hong

Co-Founder

Lily Hong is the Co-Founder of Alpha Ladder Group and Chief Executive Officer of MVGX Tech (MVGX), where she leads the company’s mission to leverage technology to drive decarbonisation and sustainability compliance. Under her leadership, MVGX has become a pioneer in sustainability compliance solutions, serving seven key markets across Asia-Pacific with a growing global presence.

With deep expertise in blockchain, AI, and fintech, Lily has played a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge solutions that streamline regulatory compliance, carbon credit advisory and trading, and access to green finance. MVGX’s proprietary AI inference models and the region’s most extensive emissions factor database enable businesses to lower the cost of regulatory compliance while unlocking new capital—whether through securing green finance or monetising carbon credits.

Previously, as Chief Technology Advisor at Alpha Ladder Group, Lily spearheaded technology development, strategic partnerships, and regional expansion, shaping Alpha Ladder Group’s innovation roadmap.

A recognised leader in fintech and digital assets, Lily was named one of Nasdaq’s 5 Most Influential Women in Financial Technology (2019) and Asian Economic Conference’s Chinese Independent Brand Innovative Women of the Year (2018). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and pursued advanced studies in entrepreneurial leadership at CEIBS.
